What to wear to a Nuclear War

Let’s face it, the level of danger nuclear weapons pose to the planet and humanity in general is absurd. Yet it falls to ordinary citizens like us to infuse reason into politicians, government officials, and world leaders who continue to spend, threaten, and escalate at our peril. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying. The following graphic gives a satirical yet educational look at the impact of a nuclear explosion at various distances from the detonation site. The piece, written by Jamie Withorne and originally published in Inkstick Media, includes “fashion advice” based on calculations from Alex Wellerstein’s NukeMap 2.55 as well as guidance on how you can use the NukeMap to learn about potential impacts of various or multiple nuclear detonations in your area.
